The Fisher range of boats has enjoyed real popularity from the time they were first built in the early 1970s with a justified reputation for comfort and rugged sea-keeping. Additional Information

Tankage

Diesel fuel: A single stainless steel tank complete with baffles of approximately 363 litres (80 gallons) is installed below the cockpit sole. An electric fuel contents gauge is fitted in the instrument panel.

Freshwater: Two GRP baffled tanks of approximately 340 litres (75 gallons) total 

Hot and cold water is supplied by a pressure pump to outlets in the galley and toilet. Hot water is heated from a calorifier unit via the engine.

Engines

BETA 75 4-cylinder marine diesel engine complete with a reduction gearbox.
The standard instrument panel has a tachometer, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, voltmeter and engine hour meter fitted.

The bronze stern tube with water lubricated cutlass bearing carries stainless steel shaft driving a 3 bladed bronze propeller

A hydraulic steering system consisting of a pump and cylinder drives the rudder from a teak steering wheel in the wheelhouse.
Emergency steering by tiller in the cockpit (a varnished teak tiller is available as an option).

Construction

The hull is a heavy-duty hand laid-up GRP moulding and the cast iron ballast is encapsulated in the GRP keel and glassed over with further laminates to form an integral part of the hull structure.
A teak rubbing strake and teak bulwark cladding is fitted and all working areas are clad in Ceylon teak

Electrical

Two heavy-duty 12-volt batteries are fitted with isolator switches. Charging is from the engine-driven alternator.
Cabin LED lighting is provided throughout the accommodation including a chart light at the chart table.
Standard navigation lights are fitted, with port and starboard lights in teak shield boxes mounted on the wheelhouse roof.

Deck Fittings

Stainless steel pushpit, pulpit and stanchions with stainless steel wire lifelines (plastic sheathed).
Double anchor roller. Stainless steel bowsprit and engine room vents.
Two large mooring cleats and a bollard on the foredeck, two midship cleats, two large bollards aft.
Self-tailing sheet winches on the cockpit coaming.
Spinlock rope clutch for the genoa furling line to port. 35lbs.
Delta anchor with 50 meters of 8 mm calibrated chain.

Accommodations

All the interior joinery is solid Ceylon teak and teak veneered plywood.
Galley and toilet compartment worktop surface offered in granite 
All cushions are upholstered in colour coordinated high-grade fire retardant fabrics. The teak parquet floor is fitted on all cabin soles and wheelhouse soles.

Forecabin There is two full-length single berths with a double berth infill and storage lockers beneath the fore cabin, the chain locker is forward.
A hanging locker and a clothes storage locker aft of the berths on each side.
A panelled door leads to the saloon.

Saloon The saloon has a ‘U’ shaped settee to port with lockers behind. There is storage outboard and under the settee. The saloon table is mounted on a pole so that it can be raised and lowered. When lowered the settee will convert to a double berth if required.

Quarter CabinThe large cabin is to starboard with a full-sized double berth with storage under. There is a hanging locker/vanity unit with drawers under, a mirror, one opening port; one fixed port to the wheelhouse. A berth light and fixed overhead light are fitted.

Wheelhouse/Raised Saloon The steering position is to port with helmsman’s seat/crew settee with large storage lockers below and outboard of the seat. There is a settee to starboard with chart stowage’s under and lockers behind the backrests.
The engine control is positioned forward of the wheel and instrument panel to the side to keep the top surface free, a chart table is forward to the starboard.

Heads A separate toilet compartment is to port, aft of the saloon with a marine toilet and washbasin. The pressured hot and cold water is supplied to the showerhead/tap fitting.
A shower tray with teak grating, locker outboard with stowage’s, a fixed overhead light, mirror, teak door with a laminate backing, 

 

Galley

To starboard in the saloon which is fitted with a stainless steel sink fitted, with granite worktop with drainer, icebox – convertible to an optional refrigerator. Cooker with 2 burners, grill and oven with fail-safe on all burners, hot and cold water to sink by a pressure system, plate and cup storage, drawers and lockers for food storage, overhead vent, two opening ports, granite working surfaces, fiddle rails, gas shut off valve adjacent to cooker, cooker cover with stowage provided, galley crash bar and lighting overhead.

Spars & Sails

The rig with the masts and boom are in a silver anodized aluminium alloy
The standing rigging is a heavy-duty 1 x 19 stainless steel wire, running rigging is of pre-stretched Terylene.

Main, genoa (and mizzen for ketch rig) halyards and sheets, boom topping lift, burgee and signal halyards.
A suitable Furlex or similar genoa reefing system is supplied as an additional option

The sails include a mainsail, mizzen and furling genoa in white or tan Terylene cloth. The main is equipped with slab reefing, foot outhaul and leech tension. Sail covers for mainsail and mizzen.
